We returned to a mostly clean room (there was dried blood on one mattress pad and covering as shown in the photos). Thinking the do-not-disturb sign may have been the reason, we asked the front desk clerk on our way out the second day of our stay to please clean our room. and when we returned that evening, our room was not cleaned. We arrived late for a four-day stay and put a “do not disturb” door hanger on the door the first night. I called the hotel in advance of booking a stay and asked about the cleaning policy and was assured they clean the rooms daily. This may be a corporate policy, but in my opinion and my traveling companion’s opinion, this hotel went out of its way not to tell guests that rooms won’t be cleaned unless you ask, and ask before 11 a.m. Bad: Hidden and disingenuous COVID cleaning policy. Good: comfortable beds refrigerator, microwave fairly quiet given the location to the interstate and airport.
